An example of a reinforced concrete wall supported via the line supports. The wall is loaded with a vertical line load. A large rectangular opening is placed in the structure. The wall is reinforced with longitudinal bars. Such a structure is usually designed in residential buildings as a part of, e.g., a shear wall.
